Track Of The Day: Bantum & Loah : Take It

I had the pleasure of meeting Ruairi aka Bantum for the first time a couple of weeks ago and he told me about this tune and making the video - it's always really great when something you are hoping is brilliant turns out to be just that. Check it out!

The dancer is Laura Sarah Dowdall, the vid was shot by Peter O’Brien and produced by Motherland. The tune is by Bantum with vocals by Loah.

Another deadly Bantum track featured on Lasertom's Irish themed mix I posted before, you can check that collection of deadliness out here.

Rick James Interview, Germany, 1982.

Came across this pretty great Rick James interview straight after his first European concert in Essen, at Rockpalast Festival in 1982. His whole band is interviewed too, including members of the Stone City Band and The Mary Jane Girls - they talk about how they got the band together, and what Buffalo NY is like. Worth checking out for the SERIOUS amounts of soul glo going on alone.

I found this live version of my favourite RJ tune from that very concert too, check it out, some amazing outfits going on too:

Cocaine is a helluva drug.
