Radiomade's Forbidden Fruit Afterparty This Friday

Radiomade (home to Tiny Choons) is putting on a great gig in The Tivoli after Forbidden Fruit on Friday night (29th May) - I Am The Cosmos are playing along with Diamond Dagger, Miss Kate and No Requests.

Jack from Radiomade told me he thought I'd like Diamond Dagger - boy was he right. It is right up Swooner Avenue - serious synthy vibes not to mention references to all my favourite 80s movies in the song titles.

I Am The Cosmos are amazing live, in all their spacey wonder, check out their album Monochrome below. They have a new album in the bag so hoping to hear some new vibes as well! Looking forward to checking out Miss Kate and No Requests too, haven't seen them before!

Check out more links on the FB event here. Get tickets here. See ya there!

3 Day Love Hangover : A Swooner Spotify Playlist

Amazing Dublin street art by Maser

I told my friend Fink if the marriage equality referendum passed I would make a playlist of serious love vibes. It passed with flying colours, the country went wild, and 3 days later I am sure there are still love hangovers all round. Hurrah! It took me a while but finally here is a collection (5 hours worth) of my favourite happy love tunes. Mostly funk and disco along with a few personal faves. (And a lot of Chromeo and Delegation tracks, naturally.) Despite being part robot, I was actually a bit emotional putting the list together, after such an amazing weekend and some serious memory evoking vibes in there. SO proud to be Irish, well done to everyone who was involved in the campaign and everyone who voted YES. Do not press shuffle. Do not pass go. One love. xxx

Love that Daniel T. edit - I've posted a good few of his mixes, check 'em out here. I'm also a new Kiwi fan, his tunes are rad but he can also lash out the disco, check out this amazing 4 hour disco set I posted recently here.

Deadly Free DLs Vol 4

Another bunch of some really amazing tracks and edits available for free on Soundcloud. Go support and follow the artists and DJs and check out the rest of their stuff! Another mixed bag this time, some great disco edits and some quality hip hop mash ups, and a couple of summery tracks we played on our latest Tropical Tiny Choons show. Be warned - that last Dizzee remix is BANGIN'. Love it.

Check out Vol 1 , Vol 2 and Vol 3 if you missed them.

Good Life Mix 30: Queen & Disco

Another deadly Good Life mix, this time by Queen & Disco - who I came across while looking up disco edits on Soundcloud - Alan Mooney is a co-founder and he makes some very sweet disco vibes on his page. This mix is sweet disco getting into some very funky stuff! Love it.

Check out the mix Fingerman did for Good Life as well here.

Kiwi Live at The Nest: 4 hour disco set

Artwork by the excellent Fuschia MacAree

This is one of the best disco sets I've ever heard. And considering the company I keep, that's saying something. Gets super 80s and funky and disco space lasery, especially in the last hour. SO good. I am sure that was a quality night in The Nest. It's  over a year old, but if you haven't heard it, check it out. Making that wintery day fly.

I've been listening to lots of Kiwi since my Tiny Choons co-host played his amazing tune 'The Guanako Haka' (below) on our last show. Check it out here. It's SO good. And not in any way disco, so the 4 hour set above was very unexpected in his soundcloud feed. Although I did just look up his Facebook page and under 'genre' it says 'fuck genres' - which may explain it. I love anyone who can lash out the beats but also seriously appreciate the disco vibe!
